About Division
The Division is composed of two Departments namely

- Civil Engineering Department
- Construction Engineering Department.
Our Mandate
Together with Industry and the community at large, we endeavour to train for the current and future human resource needs of Zimbabwe.
Mission Statement
The Civil and Construction Engineering Division is committed to providing excellent technical and vocational education, training and services that will prepare students to face the challenges of employment, entrepreneurship and technical advancement by enhancing individuals with practical skills and growth potential in the Civil and Construction Engineering Disciplines.

We believe in working closely in consultation with industry, through our Civil and Construction sub-advisory committee representative of our stakeholders.

  • Applicants must have 5 'O' Level passes including English Language, Mathematics and a Science subject.

  • Full time courses 1 to 6 - One Year

General Study Terms
  • A Certificate of attendance is awarded to the successful candidates by the Polytechnic.
  • To be awarded a certificate at all levels given above, a candidate must achieve a minimum of 85% class attendance and pass both course work and final examination in the relevant subjects as per course regulation..

Entry Requirements
  • Applicants must have a National Certificate in the relevant discipline
Course Duration
  • Students attend two years on full time basis at the Polytechnic and go for a one year industrial attachment i.e.​ 
  • 1st year at Bulawayo Polytechnic
  • 2nd year Industrial Attachment 3rd year at Bulawayo Polytechnic
  • 3rd year at Bulawayo Polytechnic
